Every custom course is priced specifically to that course. Many factors determine the price once I know: the duration of the program, the number of participants, course content and distance of travel.

CHILDRENS SURVIVAL LEVEL 1

This class prepares children with basic skills should they ever be lost out in the woods. Shelter building is the main focus for children as regulating core body temperature is a top priority for survival. Children will be taught how to choose safe locations to build a shelter, knife safety, fire building, and there will be plenty of games included throughout class.

DURATION: 3 Hours

SKILLS COVERED:

  • Knife Use/Sharpening/Safety

  • Fire Building with Modern Tools

  • Debris Shelter Building

  • Outdoor Clothing Selection

  • How to Build a Survival Kit

  • Signaling for Rescue

REQUIRED MATERIALS:

  • Fixed blade knife

  • Knife sharpener

  • Ferro rod fire starter

  • Appropriate clothing for weather

  • Water, lunch, and snacks

  • Notebook and pen

CHILDRENS SURVIVAL LEVEL 2

Students wishing to deepen and increase their survival skills may take this class after successful completion of Level 1. Students will learn and practice starting fire by rubbing sticks together, cut wood with saws, tie useful knots, and carve rabbit sticks.

DURATION: 3 Hours

​

SKILLS COVERED:

  • Saw Use & Safety

  • Fire Building with the Hand Drill

  • Knot Tying

  • Carving Rabbit Sticks

​

REQUIRED MATERIALS:

  • Fixed blade knife

  • Knife sharpener

  • Folding saw

  • Appropriate clothing for weather

  • Water, lunch, and snacks

  • Notebook and pen
